The Golden Fillet is one of the most renowned fish & chips shops in the Clacton area, situated in the heart of Holland on Sea.
The Cook family took over this award winning shop in 1994, over the years it has built a great reputation with locals and holidaymakers visiting the Clacton area.
Unfortunately, the Chip shop suffered a fire in December 2021 and due to the extent of the fire damage the shop had to be closed. Lisa Cook decided it was time to move on and start afresh after the passing of her beloved husband Paul a couple of years ago and the recent fire.
We purchased the Golden Fillet from Lisa in March 2022 and after 5 hard weeks of renovations we finally managed to re-open the doors on Good Friday!
Joe, Lisa’s son and the previous manager is now employed as our group training manager and will be based at The Golden Fillet.
We, much like the previous owners are a family run business with over 20 years’ experience in the catering industry. We are extremely passionate about the products we sell and the service we provide to every customer, not only for the local community but for visiting holiday makers.
